Creating fresh new food packaging for the high street coffee connoisseurs
Although Caffè Nero is renowned for providing great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and the best coffee on the high street, its food offering wasn’t getting the attention it deserved.
With the ‘food on the go’ market becoming ever more competitive, they sensed an opportunity, and commissioned us to reposition and repackage their food offering.
Briefed to draw attention to the fresh, high quality ingredients, we developed a suite of colourful ingredient-led illustrations that turn up the volume on the freshness cues and bring to life the brand’s artisan connoisseurship. And as well as providing essential protein information across the range, the colour coding also helps hungry customers more easily navigate the range.
We then rolled out the new packaging across the range, which encompasses dozens of products from sandwiches and pastries to salads, soups, cakes and snacks. With its tempting new look, the food range is enjoying improved sales, and helping position Caffè Nero as the place to pick up high quality fresh food with your coffee.
